This is the entrance to the museum's fossil mammal hall. (Actually, it's most of the hall; the rest is on the other side of the wall to the right.) On display here are a mammoth (and a skull), the giraffoid Samotherium, and, most impressively, the giant, hornless rhino Indricotherium. Indricotherium was the largest land mammal ever, even bigger than elephants (such as the mammoth to its right). I'd never seen a mounted Indricotherium before, and it's damned impressive! ...just virtually impossible to photograph in this room because of the pillars (left) and the inability to get far enough away from the mount to get it all in!
